The Horizon

Hello and Happy Holidays!

I hope you are all able to enjoy some time off for fun this holiday season. I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for the work you do all year long.  Despite this being a challenging year, with nationwide workforce shortages, Horizon was still able to meet our budget over the fiscal year, and I recognize this was a team effort.  Regardless of whether you directly serve patients, manage programs, maintain our fleet and facilities, or support the agency in other ways, everyone has an important role to play in our success.  There are so many high points to look back on this past year. Some standouts include:

• Welcoming Pendleton Pediatrics (now Horizon Chandler Pediatrics) to our organization.
• Relocating North Valley Pediatrics to a larger facility, and preparing for integrated care.
• Seeing thousands of people turn out for our Earth Day 2022 celebration at Earth Heart Park.
• Moving into our new outpatient facility (Redondo Center) in Yuma and hosting a successful open house.
• Transitioning SMI and Crisis services in Pinal and Gila counties from AZCH to Mercy Care.
• Achieving one of the highest quality scores of all providers from the Banner Health Plan for obtaining our health care measures.

For those of you who are new to Horizon: Welcome! We are happy you are here. For those of you who aren’t new: Thank you for staying with us and working so hard all year to ensure that Horizon is the place that patients want to come for help, and the place that people want to come and work. I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season and all the best in the new year.
